Had I known my beloved Tim the TomTom man was going to be stolen in Amsterdam - I might not have been so excited about going! Well, technically I don't really know if he was stolen - he just dissapeared and travel insurance prefer the 's' word (stolen) to the 'l' word (lost).
Amsterdam was great. Definitely better with friends - I imagine ... I wouldn't actually know because I went solo ... but it was amazing none-the-less. I got all the cultural things out the way - the house where Anne Frank hid and the Ritjksmuseum, and I've saved the 'coffee-shops' and red light district for my next non-solo visit.
