I'm moving ...

Well it's time for me to say a sad farewell to the place that's been home for me for the past 6 months. I've loved living here - it's been my home & my family in London and I'm going to miss my flatties hugely. Andrew, I'm expecting you to come christen my new place with a 9pm nudie run once I'm in ;)

COME TO LONDON!!!

A good friend who shall remain nameless for the moment is thinking of coming to London. I speak on behalf of everyone I know who has lived here when i say - you_will_love_it. Come on - you know you want to!!

Bye-bye Gisela ... again

Yes ... this is the same Gisela that had the farwell a couple of weeks ago. Four days before leaving the UK her work managed to get an extension on her visa, leaving poor Danny to go on home alone and suprise everyone at that end by arriving back without her.

So what to do with a fiance-less, home-less soul? Well give her a bed of course. We found a spare bed and a spare corner in my room, and she came and lived with me for the month. It was great fun! Looking forward to seeing you in November G&D - for the wedding of the century!

Wicked!

I saw my first London show last night. 'Wicked' - the story of how the wicked witch of the west (from the wizard of oz) came to be. It was sensational! Despite being sick midway through (a mixture of dodgy lunch and a stomach-in-knots day) it was great to sit back and think that this is what an average Londener could do for £15 on a Tuesday night. It sure beats tight-arse tuesdays!!

Someone get this man a drink!

One of my favourite friends from home sent us this email yesterday. She lives in Sydney and her boyfriend has recently been sent to Hong Kong for 2 years for work. Here is her tale of her 14th of Feb ...

"Yesterday I was super embarrassed with a Gigantic bouquet of red roses that were delivered to my office. I could not even get both hands around them. I was teased like mad! :) Card read "Happy Valentines ... "

I struggled home on the train and bus with this beast only to walk to my front door and find another beast. Another bouquet of beautiful yellow flowers (gerberas, daisies and tulips) ... so big that I could not even get in to my front door! Card read ... "Happy Valentines Again!"

Then I went out with my roommate for a drink and some dinner. At about 11pm just as I was sipping the last few drops from my corona ... There was a tap on my shoulder and I heard the words "What does a man have to do to get a drink around here???" Only to turn around and see Simo standing behind me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "
